Two named half portraits of Edwin Powell (1827-1881) and most likely his wife Ella Powell (nee. Baines). Edwin apprenticed at J. Dimmock & Co. potters in Hanley before founding Livesley, Powell & Co. with William Livesley in 1845. A large quantity of quality Silver plated cutlery, 19th century or later, comprising fish knives, large ladles, Salver, horn handled large carving knives, spoons, forks, some silver handled noted, (2 large trays full).
Interesting collection of mainly silver plated trinkets, but a few hallmarked silver items were noted, plus an Indian cruet set that may be lower grade silver. Also noted was a bone domino set, grape scissors and other nice little collectors pieces.
